So the contractions seem to be a little stronger and more consistent now - Michele is progressing nicely as well......(sorry for the bad joke; as Michele puts it - induction is fairly boring, even for her - we have had some serious laughing fits though that have punctuated the day). They have not checked her dialation recently because it is a painful thing for Michele, but the midwife did say she would check again this afternoon. Michele just got a call from her workmates at Ventyx and they let her know that her suprise shower was a success and there was no whining pregnant person to ruin it. I kid - there was a suprise shower at work today that Michele ended up having to miss. Thank you to those of you at her work for this incredibly thoughtful gesture.
It is pretty neat sitting here listening to your child's heartbeat and realizing that within the next 24 hours I will get to meet them for the first time. By the sound of it, the little one is a long distance runner - I have no idea where that gene would come from.
