10-8-10 6:30am

Really good idea for mommy and I to send Riley with the nurses last night - not just for our sleep, but because she had some issues. I just got back from the NICU Transition unit (which is simply a nursery with more nurses and a neonatal specialist in it) and Riley is there for observation as her O2 stats dropped overnight. They would like them to be around 100, but in the womb they are at 60-70 and last night she was dropping to 80, so the doc said that she was actually pretty good, but they still like to make sure.

Sometimes 37 weekers (as of Wednesday) act like premmies of 35 or 36. The doctor also said that since she isn't 12 hours old yet, she is very happy with where she is. They are going to keep her for the next 6 hours to make sure she is ok and momma and I are fine with that.

Here is a video of the doctor checking her out.
